Reccomended reading: Penny Red

 So, in recomended reading, I want to show you my favorite blogs and other tidbits.

Laurie Penny is, in no particular order: a journalist, an author, a feminist, a Londoner, a reprobate, an activist, a hedonist, a drinker of too much tea, a believer in the ultimate goodness of human beings, twenty-five years old, and a reformed smoker. She is a regular writer for the New Statesman,  the Guardian and the Independent, and has contributed to The Nation, Al-Jazeera, Alternet, Jezebel, Red Pepper and the Evening Standard. She is the author of Meat Market: Female Flesh Under Capitalism (2011) and Penny Red: Notes from the New Age of Dissent (2011) She makes regular speaking appearances, has presented Channel 4′s Dispatches and been on the panel of the BBC’s Any Questions and Young Voter’s Question Time. Her blog, ‘Penny Red’, was shortlisted for the Orwell prize in 2010.

My personal opinion?

She is what the words " For great justice" were invented for. Her words are as sharp as her wit, her anger is allways justified, and though I sometimes disagree with her views, I think it is impossible to  not nodd from now and then, and feel her pain.

Fun fact: She will be schooled by V, and bring the british Empire to its knees.

When the revolution comes, she will be there, in the frontlines, viciously smithing her words, tweeting and slashing her way so generations of us will have it easier. She is what journalism should be.
maybe not a female Hunter S. Thompson, but damn close.
